Project Details

Building Affordability in South San Francisco - Rotary Terrace is a 81-unit apartment building with 1,900 square feet of office and flexible community use. With a total development cost is $40,288,000, the project is funded primarily through a construction participation loan, city and county funding, and 4% LIHTC Private Activity Bonds. The project will serve low-income seniors up to 30% and 50% AMI; 20% disabled seniors; several units set aside for homeless seniors.

Built on City-Owned sites, Rotary Terrace is one of the first developments designed under the South San Francisco Downtown Station Area Specific Plan which calls for a more vibrant and walk-able urban center within the historic city center. The apartment community contains a variety of features based on “aging in place” for senior populations.

Rotary Terrace represents the continued commitment by the Rotary Club of South San Francisco to serve low-income seniors in the community. In 2016, Rotarians and HumanGood completed the 179-unit of Rotary Plaza Apartments where Beacon Development serves as the developer. Kion Sawney served as an assistant project manager in the project’s close-out. Funds from that development were leveraged to create the Rotary Miller Avenue project.
