Kion Sawney is a real estate developer originally from Long Island, NY that currently resides in sunny San Francisco. His work within the built environment has allowed him to explore how enhancements to it can create identity, advance equity, improve health and cultivate economic growth.
Project management, policywork, grant writing, The exploration of these themes, which still continue today, provides him a unique perspective on what comprises a project of impact but also how to bring it into reality. Beyond his deep contemplation of the built environment,
In 2014, he graduated with a BA in Urban Planning from Vanderbilt University. He is the Board Chair of the nonprofit Street Works in Nashville,TN and active member of ULI SF, Yimby Action, SPUR, NPH and the USGBC. He volunteers regularly for Friends of the Urban Forest.
